How would you create a PLN prior to engaging in a social media campaign on a topic of your choice? Consider how you would introduce yourself to others consider how you would engage in initial conversation to generate interest in your campaign professionally.

Like every company that wants to create a marketing campaign, they will set a group of target customers. When we create a PLN, finding the target audience is the first step. Depending on different needs, we can choose different social media platforms. For example, if we are creating a hobby group, we can pick Facebook as the platform. To generate interest in my campaign, I will first set the group rules. This can avoid some unnecessary chaos in the future chat. Then I will post some pictures and comments to bring everyone’s interest up so that everyone can feel relaxed and free to communicate.

It’s important to note that social media platforms should be used responsibly and follow privacy and security policies. There are several social media platforms that can be beneficial for education.

YouTube: A vast video library that provides access to educational content from universities, educational institutions, and experts in various fields.

Google: Gmail can be a tool to reach our instructors and get help from. Google doc is a way that team working with our classmates to finish a group project.

When working with the vulnerable sector, how does social media fit into professionalism and regulations?

When working with the vulnerable sector, social media use can raise a number of professional and regulatory concerns, particularly with regard to privacy. Regularly monitor and evaluate our social media presence to ensure that it fits with our professional goals.

Personal Digital Identity vs Professional Digital Identity

What digital platforms are students currently using to develop their professional network?

For professional networking perspective, LinkedIn, Zoom, and Google are the most popular platforms. These digital platforms really help students to develop professional networks.

What could the student consider in expanding their professional learning network?

I think as a student, we need to consider privacy and security when we’re expanding our professional learning network. Functionality is also an important point when we develop our professional learning network.
